The office sits right on Erandwane 100Feet Road. It is a noisy spot because of all the vehicles passing by all day. We have been here for a while now. The desk is usually covered in papers and some old diaries where we write down names and numbers. Most days, the ceiling fan just hums along while we wait for the next person to walk in. It is not a very big place, just enough room for a couple of chairs and a computer that takes a bit too long to start up in the mornings. You can see the trees across the road if the traffic stops for a second. We usually get our tea from the guy at the corner twice a day. He knows how much sugar we like. People drop by mostly to ask about bus timings or if a car is free for the weekend. Sometimes we just sit and talk about the weather or how the road has changed over the years. It used to be much quieter here. Now, there are shops everywhere you look. We keep the door open most of the time to let some air in, even if it brings a bit of dust. It is just a normal office where work gets done slowly but surely. There is nothing fancy about the walls or the furniture, just some old calendars and a map pinned up. We mostly just focus on getting the tickets right and making sure the drivers know where they are going.
