S B Engineers

S B Engineers is tucked away in the Bhosari Industrial Estate on R C Marg, specifically at plot J 496. It’s one of those spots where you can hear the sounds of industry from every direction. Our workshop isn't very large, but we’ve crammed a lot of equipment into the space. There are stacks of steel rods in the corner and a heavy workbench that has seen better days. We do a lot of mechanical work, mostly turning and milling for whoever needs it. The walls are made of corrugated sheets, so when it rains, it gets incredibly loud inside. We usually have the radio playing in the background to drown out some of the machine noise, though it doesn't always help. Most of our work comes from word of mouth around the estate. A guy will walk in with a broken part or a rough sketch on a piece of cardboard, and we figure out how to make it for him. The floor is stained with years of spilled oil and metal shavings that we sweep up at the end of every shift. We keep a few stools around for when we take a break, usually sitting near the big door to catch a breeze. It’s a messy environment and our hands are always black with grease, but that’s just part of the trade. We stay open until the last job of the day is finished, then we head home to rest for the next shift.
