Our shop is at S No 10/7 Himalaya Estate. It is situated near the Ramaraman Karyalaya in Shivaji Nagar. Being Rollon Rolling Shutters & Engineering Co, we spend our time working with various metals and shutter parts. Shivaji Nagar is always buzzing with people and vehicles. The estate itself is a mix of different small businesses. We have a decent amount of space for our machines but it fills up fast when we have a lot of orders. The noise of the welding and cutting is just something we are used to now. We do not have a polished showroom. You just see the raw materials and the finished shutters leaning against the walls. It is a hands-on kind of place. The workers have been doing this for years so they know the sounds the machines make when something needs a bit of oil. We keep a ledger for everything. It is nothing fancy, just a plain old engineering and shutter business. Sometimes the neighbors from the Karyalaya come over for a chat. We take our breaks when we can. The work is steady and it keeps us on our feet. We do not bother with much else besides making sure the shutters are built solid. When the day is over we pull down our own shutters and head home like everyone else in the estate. It is a lot of manual labor but it feels good to finish a job properly for the people.
