If you walk down the lanes of Narayan Peth, behind the Modi Ganpati Temple, you will find us at Rishi Sanskriti Vidya Kendra. This part of Tagore Nagar is usually quiet, which suits what we do here. We’ve been in this spot for a long time. Our rooms are filled with books and mats, and there is always a bit of a calm feeling when you walk inside. We spend our days teaching or just sitting and talking about things that matter. It isn't a fast-paced place. We don't have many employees, just a few of us who look after the place and make sure it stays clean. People from the neighborhood come by after their work or in the early morning. Sometimes we have small sessions that go on for hours. We don't really use much technology here, just the basic stuff we need. The temple nearby brings a lot of people to this lane, so we see a lot of faces passing by our door. We mostly focus on what we are doing inside these walls. It’s a simple life, really. We look after the plants outside and keep the hall ready for whoever shows up. There is always some incense burning somewhere, and the smell stays in the air all day. It’s just a regular part of the Peth life for us now, and we keep the doors open for anyone interested.
