Rama Engineering Works

Rama Engineering Works is located in Datta Nagar, Ambegaon, right near Katraj. It’s more of a workshop than a proper office. We have heavy machinery and there’s usually the sound of metal being cut or welded in the background. It’s a dusty place, but that’s because we are actually making things here. We started this place because we wanted to work for ourselves. The area around Katraj has grown so much lately, but our corner feels pretty much the same. We have a small crew of guys who know how to handle the lathes and the welding kits. We don't use much fancy software; most of the planning happens on a chalkboard or a scrap of paper. If you come by, you’ll see us in our work shirts, probably covered in some metal shavings. We don't have a website or a marketing person. We just rely on the work we do to bring people back. Sometimes the monsoon makes the roof leak a little, so we have to move the machines around, but we get through it. It’s hard work and the days are long, but we like seeing a finished part ready to go. We aren't looking to be the biggest engineering firm in Pune. We just want to keep the machines running and the orders moving. It’s about being practical and getting things made.
