We run our little travel business out of the Hariharishwar Apartment in Shaniwar Peth. It’s room number 8, so it’s more of an office in a residential building than a shop on the main road. Shaniwar Peth is an old part of the city, so the lanes are a bit narrow and it has that traditional feel. We do all the usual holiday planning, like booking hotels and figuring out train or flight timings for people. It’s mostly just us sitting around the table with some maps and our laptops. We don't have a big flashy entrance or neon signs. Most of our clients are people from the neighborhood or friends of friends who know where to find us. It’s a quiet place to work, away from the heavy traffic of the bigger streets. We’ve got some old travel photos pinned to the walls and a lot of diaries where we note down everything. Sometimes we spend hours on the phone trying to get a good deal for someone's family trip. It’s a lot of small details to manage, but we like the pace here. We usually have the windows open to let in some air, and you can hear the local sounds of the apartment building. It’s a simple, honest way to work, helping people get away for a bit of a break.
