Quick Car World

We set up Quick Car World over on S L Road in Kalewadi quite some time back. It’s a 411017 address if you’re looking it up on a map. Being around cars all day means there is usually some grease on our hands and a bit of noise from the tools. It’s not a quiet place, but it’s where we like to be. People bring their vehicles in when something isn’t sounding right or they just need a simple check-up. We don’t have a fancy waiting room with leather sofas or anything like that. Just a few plastic chairs and maybe an old newspaper if you’re lucky. The floor is concrete and it’s seen a lot of oil spills over the years, though we try to scrub it when we can. We just try to figure out what’s wrong and fix it so people can get back on the road. Most of our customers are locals from around Kalewadi who know us by our first names. We don’t use big words or try to sell people stuff they don’t need. If a part is still good, we tell them. If it’s broken, we show them why it failed. It gets pretty hot in the summer under the tin roof, but we have a couple of old fans that keep the air moving a bit. We just keep our heads down and work on the engines. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from morning until the sun goes down.
