Project Engineer

Our office is at Plot No. 38 in Sonanagar, which is part of the Savedi area in Ahmednagar. It is a fairly quiet residential neighborhood compared to the main market area, which I personally like. I have been working as a Project Engineer here for a few years now. The space is simple—just a few chairs, a big table for maps, and my computer station. I usually keep the door open to let the breeze in, though it gets quite dusty in the afternoons. Ahmednagar is a place where everybody knows everybody, so most of my work comes from people I have known for years or through friends. I don't do any advertising or marketing. I just focus on the projects I have on hand. Some days I am out in the sun all day checking foundations and concrete, and other days I am stuck here doing math and calculations. It is a bit of a mix. I have one assistant who helps with the site visits, but mostly it is just me doing the work. I write my own reports and do my own filing, so things can get a bit messy during the peak busy season. It is a practical life. I don't pretend to be some big firm from a city. I am just an engineer in Sonanagar trying to do a job so that the structures we build actually last and stay safe for the people who live in them.
