Press-Tech Engineering

Our workshop is tucked away at Sr No 64 in the Chinchwad Mandi Govind Garh area. It’s a busy neighborhood with a lot of noise, so our machines fit right in. We’ve been doing engineering work here for a few years now. The floor is mostly covered in metal shavings and oil spots, but we try to sweep it once a day. My brother and I run the place with two other guys who live nearby. We don’t have a big corporate office or anyone to answer the phones, so you usually have to shout over the sound of the press if you come by. We spend a lot of time looking at blueprints and trying to figure out why a part isn't fitting right. It’s a lot of trial and error, honestly. The equipment is old but we keep it running with a bit of grease and patience. Sometimes we stay late because a machine broke down and we need it working for the next morning. It’s not a clean job and our hands are always stained black. We get our tea from the stall at the corner of the Mandi. Most people around here just call us the shop near the market. We don't have a brochure or a mission statement. We just make the parts people ask for and try to get the measurements right the first time. It’s a simple way to make a living and pay the bills.
