Precision Machine Works

Precision Machine Works is based out in Bhosari, at Plot No. 89 in Sector No. 7. We are right in the middle of the P. C. N. T. D. A. industrial area, so it’s a very busy and loud place to be. Our workshop is filled with lathes, milling machines, and all sorts of metalworking tools. There is always a strong smell of machine oil and metal dust in the air, which you just get used to after a while. I spend most of my days in greasy overalls, checking parts against technical drawings to make sure everything is right. The work requires a lot of focus, even when the shop floor is noisy and hot. The floor is made of concrete and it's usually covered in small metal shavings that we sweep up at the end of the shift. We make various components for other factories around the Pune area. It’s hard work and involves standing for many hours at a time. During the summer, the tin roof makes the whole place feel like an oven, but we keep the big fans going. I started this shop with a friend several years ago, and we’ve stayed at this same plot ever since. We don't have a fancy office or a reception area. If someone needs to talk to us, they just come straight into the workshop. We have a few steady workers who have been with us for years. It’s a tough environment but it's what we do.
