Prashant Engineers

We operate Prashant Engineers out in Urulikanchan. We are located in Mahadev Nagar. It is a bit of a distance from the main city, but it is where we have our space. We do engineering work, mostly involving steel and some fabrication. Our workshop in Mahadev Nagar isn't very big, but we have the machines we need to get by. We are just a group of people who enjoy fixing things and making parts. It is a lot of welding and cutting most days. The noise is constant, but we don't really notice it anymore. We don’t have a big corporate structure. I usually handle the orders and the others work on the floor. We get orders from local businesses and sometimes from further away. We do not really do any advertising. People just know we are here in Urulikanchan. It is a quiet area compared to the city, but it is growing. We like the pace here. Sometimes things go wrong with the machines, and we have to spend the whole day fixing our own gear before we can start on the customer’s work. That is just how engineering goes. We don't pretend to be some giant firm. We are just Prashant Engineers. We try to get the jobs done on time. We use simple tools and traditional methods mostly. It is hard work, but it keeps us going and pays the bills. That is enough for us at the end of the day.
