Poornima Design Consultany

I run this consultancy out of my flat, which is number 703 in Building 2 of the Namrta Satilite Society. It’s quite near the Govind Garden Chowk. It isn't a traditional office setup with a receptionist and a lobby. It’s just a room in my home where I have my drawing boards and my computer set up. Being on the seventh floor gives me a bit of a view, which helps when I am stuck on a design idea. Most of my work involves sitting and thinking about how to make spaces look better or work more efficiently for people. I meet clients here sometimes, or I just go to their sites. It’s a bit of a juggle managing work and home in the same place. Sometimes the doorbell rings with a delivery or a neighbor wants to chat while I’m trying to finish a plan. I don't have a big corporate bio or anything. I just studied design and decided to do it on my own instead of working for a big firm where I would just be another number. It is a lot of hours and sometimes I’m working late into the night when the society is quiet. I just take it one project at a time and try to do a decent job for the people who hire me.
