Poonam Opticians

Our shop is on the main road in Hennur, right in the Sai Taj Apartment building. Poonam Opticians has been a part of Shivaji Nagar for a while. We are situated right across from Dr. Homi Bhabha Hospital, so we get a lot of people walking by after their appointments. It is a small space, mostly filled with shelves of frames and the testing equipment in the back room. Sometimes the traffic on Hennur Main Road makes it hard for people to park, but they find a way. We have all sorts of glasses here. It is just a neighborhood spot where people come when they break their frames or need a new prescription. The lighting in here is bright so people can see how they look in the mirrors. We try to keep things organized, but on busy Saturdays, there are boxes and cases everywhere. It is not a big corporate chain. It is just us. We know many of the families around Kariyana Palya because they have been coming here for years. We spend a lot of time tightening screws and cleaning lenses for folks who just drop in. It is a simple business. We open up in the morning, clean the glass displays, and wait for the first customer. It is a steady life here on the ground floor. Nothing too fancy, just helping people see a bit better through their spectacles. That is all we do.
