Furn Leaf

If you look for us, we’re at No. 102 Orange Shrustiiggasite, right near the Crystal Honda Centre. It’s an interesting spot for a furniture business like Furn Leaf. Most of our day involves dealing with wood, fabric, and a lot of measurements. The shop isn't always the tidiest place because there’s always something being moved or unboxed. We have pieces coming in and out, and sometimes the floor gets covered in packing materials. It’s a hands-on kind of job. We spend a lot of time looking at textures and colors to see what fits together. Being near the Honda center means there’s always traffic and noise outside, but inside we just focus on whatever piece we are working on that day. It’s not a big corporate showroom with bright lights and fancy music. It’s more of a working space where things actually get done. We talk to people about what they need for their homes, and we try to give them something that isn't just a piece of plastic. There are usually a few of us here, and we all do a bit of everything, from moving heavy tables to answering the phone. It’s hard work and your hands get dirty, but it feels good to see a finished room. We just keep our heads down and handle the orders as they come in. It’s a straightforward way to run a business without any unnecessary bells and whistles attached.
