Planet Paradise

You can find Planet Paradise at Plot No. 39 in the Girija Shankar Society, which is over in the Karve Nagar-Hingne Budrukh area of Pune. We are right opposite the Sharda Niketan Girls Hotel. It’s a busy little spot because of all the students and residents living nearby. The shop has a bit of a worn-out look that comes from being used every single day. We have some plants near the entrance that we sometimes forget to water, but they seem to be doing okay anyway. Inside, there’s always a faint smell of various products and maybe some incense from the morning. The floor is made of old tiles that are easy to sweep, which is good because we are always sweeping. We get a lot of noise from the street, especially when the girls from the hostel are heading out for classes. It’s a grounded kind of place. We don’t have any of those fancy modern decorations you see in the city center. Just some basic furniture and a clock that’s usually five minutes fast. Most of our days are spent just waiting for the next person to walk through the door while we chat about the local news. It’s a steady life here in Karve Nagar. We know which floorboards creak and where the light switches are without even looking. It doesn't take much to keep the place running smoothly, just a bit of patience and hard work.
