You can find Jharcraft Emporiums over in the Camp area on Paud Road. We are quite close to the Lal Deval, which is a landmark most people in the area recognize easily. Our shop at 9/B isn't like those massive malls you see nowadays. It’s a place where we keep a lot of traditional items on the shelves. We spend our mornings dusting the displays and making sure everything looks decent for anyone who might wander in. The Camp area has its own old-world charm, and we feel like we fit right into that. It’s often quiet in the middle of the day, but then it picks up in the evenings when people are out for a walk. We don't have a big staff, so we usually do everything ourselves, from unpacking crates to talking to the customers. Sometimes the shop feels a bit crowded because we have so much stock, but that’s part of the experience. We often sit near the entrance and watch the traffic on Paud Road go by. It’s a simple job, showing people the work of different artists and explaining where the pieces come from. We aren't trying to be the biggest store in town. We just want to keep the shop running and make sure the people who visit find something they like. It’s a steady life in a very historic part of the city.
