Phoenix Toolings

Phoenix Toolings is located in the Paras Industrial Estate, specifically in Phase 3 at Shop No 01. It’s right in the heart of Bhosari, which means there is never a quiet moment during the day. We focus on making tools and parts that other businesses need to keep their own machines running. The shop isn’t very large, so we have to be smart about where we put the drill presses and the worktables. It often feels like we’re tripping over a box of steel rods or a bin of scrap metal, but we know exactly where everything is. The walls are painted a dull grey, and we’ve got calendars from three years ago still hanging up because nobody bothered to take them down. Most of the day is spent listening to the grind of the machines and checking the finish on a piece of work. Our hands are usually stained with grease that doesn't quite wash off at the end of the shift. We don’t have a marketing team or anyone sitting at a front desk; usually, it’s just one of us wiping our hands on a rag before answering the phone. Orders come in, we get them on the schedule, and we work until they’re done. It’s honest work, and while the workshop gets a bit cluttered, we manage to get things out the door on time most of the time.
