Pearl Travels

Our office is located at B-17/1 in Nikko Garden, right on Kondhwa Road. It’s quite near the Gera Junction, so there’s always a lot of activity outside our door. We’ve been running this travel desk for some time now. Mostly, we spend our time on the phone or on the computer, trying to figure out bus timings or booking cars for people. It’s a small room with a couple of chairs for clients and a big map on the wall. The phone rings a lot, usually someone asking about prices or complaining that their driver is five minutes late. We handle a lot of local trips around Pune and some longer ones too. It isn't a glamorous job; there's a lot of paperwork and making sure all the permits are in order. Sometimes the internet goes down and we have to do everything by hand, which is a bit of a headache. The office is a bit cramped with all the files and folders, but we know where everything is. My cousin helps me with the bookings during the peak season when everyone wants to go to the hills. We try to keep things moving and make sure people get where they need to go. It’s just a regular travel office in a busy part of town. We stay open late most nights just in case someone needs a last-minute car.
