Pawar Public School

Pawar Public School is way out in Phase III of the Rajiv Gandhi Infotech Park in Hinjewadi. If you work in IT, you know how far out this is. We are part of the Megapolis area, surrounded by a lot of big tech companies and modern offices. It’s a bit of a drive for most of us, especially with the traffic that builds up at the MIDC junctions. The school building itself is quite big and looks like it fits right in with the surrounding SEZ architecture. Because we are in an info park, the surroundings are mostly paved roads and other tall buildings. It doesn’t have that old-school feel; it’s more modern and clean. Most of the parents who send their kids here work in the nearby offices, so the whole place has a very professional vibe. Even so, once the kids are inside, it sounds like any other school with plenty of shouting and laughter. We have a lot of space for the students to move around, which is good because it can feel a bit cramped in this part of Pune sometimes. In the main office, we deal with a lot of emails and digital records because that’s just how things are done here. We drink a lot of coffee to keep up with the pace of the day. It’s a very organized environment, but we try to keep it friendly so it doesn't feel too much like a factory.
