Parulekar Patterns & Foundry

Parulekar Patterns & Foundry is tucked away in the El-Block of Sector-7, right at Plot No. 117 in the PCNTDA part of Bhosari. We have been working out of this spot for quite some time now. A lot of our day is spent around wood, resin, and molten metal. It is the kind of place where your clothes get dirty five minutes after you walk in. Around here, we focus on making the patterns first because if the pattern is off by even a little bit, the whole casting is basically scrap. It takes a lot of patience to get the shapes right. The foundry side of things is a whole different story. It gets loud and the heat from the furnace really hits you in the face during the summer months. We don't have any fancy receptionists or a slick waiting room. It’s just the workshop and the small office where we keep the drawings. The guys on the floor know their way around the sand molds better than anything else. Working late into the evening happens sometimes if a big pour is scheduled. There is always a lot of clanking and the smell of hot metal in the air. We just try to keep things moving and make sure the parts we send out are what the customer asked for. It is honest work, even if it is a bit messy. Being in Bhosari means we are surrounded by other workshops doing similar stuff, so there is always noise around us.
