Parmar Foods

Parmar Foods is situated along the Andheri Kurla Road in Vadgaon Budruk. This area is always moving, and the traffic is something we just have to deal with every day. We handle a lot of different food items here. The smell of spices and grains is pretty strong when you walk in. We spend our mornings unloading supplies and getting things ready for the day's customers. It’s a lot of physical work, lifting bags and weighing out portions. The scales we use are old but they work fine. We don't have a big marketing department or anything like that. It’s just us making sure the food is stored properly and that the shelves aren't empty. Sometimes the heat makes it hard to keep everything fresh, so we have to be very careful with our stock rotation. The shop has been in this spot for a while now. Most people around here know they can find the basics with us. We don't try to be anything special. It’s just a food business. The floor is made of plain concrete and the walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but it doesn't really matter for the work we do. We stay busy from morning till night, just like everyone else on this road. We usually shut the shutters around nine, unless there's someone still looking for a bag of rice. It's a long day but it's a good honest living. The local delivery guys usually park their bikes right in front, which blocks the entrance sometimes.
