You can find us on the ground floor of Shitole Chambers, right at P M T Chowk in Bhosari. It’s a very noisy spot because of all the buses and traffic on the Pune Nashik Road. We are directly opposite the Ruchira Hotel, which helps people find us when they get lost. Being in a travel business means we are always looking at clocks and schedules. Most of our morning is spent answering the phone and talking to drivers who are out on the road. We book tours and arrange travels for all sorts of people, from families going on holiday to workers heading home. The office is small and filled with old calendars and maps of the country. It’s a bit cramped when three or four people walk in at once. Sometimes the internet goes down, and we have to do everything by hand, which is a bit of a headache. P M T Chowk is always busy, so there is a constant stream of people walking past our door. We see everything from here. Some days we are just waiting for a specific bus to arrive or making sure a car reached the airport on time. It’s not a glamorous job, but it keeps us connected to the city. We’ve been in Bhosari long enough to know most of the regular travelers by name and their favorite routes to take.
