Pals Distilleries Limited

L-5 in Waluj MIDC is where we spend most of our days at Pals Distilleries Limited. It’s an industrial area so there is always a lot of noise from trucks and other factories nearby. We've been here for a while now, keeping the stills running and making sure the bottling line doesn’t get jammed up. It’s hot work, especially during the summer months when the machinery is going full tilt. Most of the guys here live nearby so they commute on bikes. We have a routine that starts early in the morning before the sun gets too high. There is always paperwork to deal with because of the nature of the distillery business, but mostly it is about managing the floor. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait for the generator to kick in. It’s not a fancy office, just a practical space where we get things done. You can see our big tanks from the road if you're passing through Waluj. The address is pretty easy to find if you know the MIDC layout. We usually have a tea break around ten and that’s when everyone catches up on local news. It’s just how things are here. We don't have many visitors except for the suppliers and the drivers who take the cases out to the shops. Keeping everything clean is a big part of the job too. It is a long day but we are used to it by now.
