Palande Chai N Masala Foods And Exports has been operating out of Flat No. 7 in Rana Vasudeo Apartments for a bit. We are right across from SNDT College at Plot No. 3. It’s a busy spot in Pune, especially with all the students walking around. We do a mix of things here, mostly focusing on tea and spices. Being in the 411004 area code means we are pretty central. The apartment gets a bit crowded with all the boxes sometimes. We use the space for packing and keeping track of our exports. My brother and I handle the paperwork. It’s an LLP, but it feels more like a family hobby that got a bit bigger. Rana Vasudeo Apartments is an older building, but it works for us. We spend a lot of time talking to suppliers and making sure the masala blends are right. We don't have a big staff, just a couple of people helping with the heavy lifting and sealing bags. Opposite SNDT College is a good landmark because everyone knows it. We started with just a few bags of tea and it grew from there. It’s not fancy, just a few rooms filled with the smell of spices. We try to keep things organized but during shipping season it gets a bit messy with tape and cardboard everywhere. Pune is a good place for this kind of work. We just keep our heads down and get the orders out. There is always someone coming or going from the apartment building.
