Orbis Terrae Designs

Orbis Terrae Designs is based over in Koregaon Park, specifically at I-20, Popular Heights 4. We are on Burning Ghat Road, pretty close to the German Bakery. It’s a well-known part of Pune, and we’ve been here for some time now. Our office is where we handle various design projects, mostly for people and businesses around the area. It’s a busy neighborhood but our space is usually quiet enough for us to get our work done. We spend a lot of time on our computers and with our drawing boards. It’s not a fancy lifestyle. There is a lot of coffee involved and plenty of long hours. Pune has a lot of character and we try to reflect that in the work we do. We don’t have a big team or a lot of corporate rules. It’s just us trying to make sense of what a client wants and figuring out how to build it. Sometimes we get stuck on a design for days before it feels right. We don’t use a lot of fancy words to describe what we do. We just call it designing and planning. People drop in to discuss their ideas, and we give them our honest thoughts. It’s a simple way of working that seems to suit us well. The area around German Bakery is always lively, which is a nice change of pace when we step out of the office. We’ve been part of the local community for a while and plan to stay.
