Om Sai Ac Pan Shop

Om Sai Ac Pan Shop is over on Karve Road, right by the Aditya Pradnya Society. It’s a busy corner and the traffic is almost always backed up during the rush hours. We decided to have the AC because it gets so dusty and hot out there on Karve Road that people need a place to step inside and just breathe for a second. The shop is small and filled with all the different containers and jars we use throughout the day. We spend a lot of time just arranging the leaves and making sure everything is fresh. Being near Aditya Pradnya Society means we see the same people coming home from work or heading out for groceries every day. We usually have the radio playing softly in the background just to keep things from being too quiet when there are no customers. The glass on the front gets fingerprints on it all day long, so we are constantly wiping it down to keep it looking okay. It’s a simple routine of opening up, keeping the air conditioner running, and making sure we don't run out of the favorite items people ask for. Sometimes we stand by the door just to watch the people go by on the sidewalk. It’s a decent way to spend the day, even if it’s a bit repetitive. When night comes, the lights from the society across the way are bright, and we eventually shut the AC off and head home to sleep.
