New Standard Tea Agency

If you walk down Old Bamboo Bazaar Road in Shivaji Nagar, you'll find us at Shop No-4 in the Lal Masjid Building. It's an old building with a lot of character, and the whole area is always buzzing with people buying and selling all sorts of things. We run the New Standard Tea Agency from here. It’s a busy spot, and there’s always someone coming in to ask about the latest stock. We have bags of tea stacked up pretty high, so sometimes it’s a bit of a squeeze to move around. The location is great because it’s right in the heart of the market. You hear the calls of the street vendors and the sound of the traffic all day long. We don’t go in for anything fancy. The shop is simple, with just some wooden counters and scales for weighing. We’ve been in Shivaji Nagar for quite a while, and we know most of the people who have shops nearby. We help each other out when we can. Sometimes we get a big order and everyone has to pitch in to get the sacks onto the trucks. It’s dusty work, and your hands get stained from the tea after a while, but nobody complains much. We just focus on getting the tea out to the people who need it. It’s a straightforward business. We open early, we close when the work is done, and we try to do a decent job every day.
