Abhinav Engineering Works

Abhinav Engineering Works is located at 44/21, Narhe Road, right behind the Power Grid in Pune. It’s a typical engineering shop with grease on the floor and the sound of welding going on most of the day. We do a lot of metal fabrication and general repair work. People bring in parts that are broken or need to be made from scratch for their own projects. We’ve got lathes, drills, and welding sets scattered around the workshop. It’s not the cleanest place in the world, but we get the job done properly. My brother and I started this after working in bigger plants for many years. We preferred having our own small place where we could decide how to fix things. The Narhe Road area has grown a lot, and there’s always construction noise nearby. We spend a lot of time measuring things and checking drawings. Sometimes a job takes longer than we thought because the metal is tough or the design is a bit tricky. We don't have a receptionist; if you come by, you’ll probably find us in blue overalls working on a machine. We drink a lot of tea to keep going through the afternoon. It’s a lot of physical labor, and your hands are always dirty by the end of the shift. But there’s a good feeling when you finish a piece and it fits perfectly. That’s what keeps us going here in Pune.
