Naina Optician

Naina Optician is located in Narayan Peth, specifically in the Jyotiba Nagar area. We are in the Vasudev Sahaniwas Building, which is quite close to the Modi Ganpati temple. If you know this part of Pune, you know how narrow and crowded the streets can get. It’s a traditional neighborhood, and we’ve been part of it for a long time. Our shop isn't very large, but we’ve managed to fit a good variety of frames and lenses into the display cases. Most of the day is spent helping people try on different glasses or fixing a bent frame that someone sat on. We have an old chair for eye testing that has seen better days, but it still works perfectly fine. The lighting is bright because we need to see the tiny screws and details on the spectacles. Sometimes, when the temple nearby has a festival, the whole street gets blocked and it’s hard for even a cycle to get through. But we like the energy of Narayan Peth. It feels like everyone knows everyone else here. We aren't a big chain store with matching uniforms. It’s just us, usually wearing whatever is comfortable, helping our neighbors see a bit better. We have some regulars who come in just to chat for a bit while they get their glasses cleaned. It’s a small, steady business, and we’re happy to be exactly where we are in this building.
