We are up on the fifth floor of the Transbay building, right there on Balewadi Road. Being in office 501-504 gives us a pretty decent view of the traffic outside, though it gets really noisy during the rush hour when everyone is trying to get past the SKP campus. It is a very busy spot in Balewadi these days. Inside our space, the desks are usually covered in technical drawings and long parts lists. We spend a lot of our time on the phone or looking at engine specs on the computer screens. It is not the quietest office because there is always someone coming in or heading out to a site. The lift is sometimes slow, so we end up taking the stairs if we are in a hurry to get somewhere. We have been in this building for a bit now. There is a small tea stall downstairs where we go when we need a quick break from the screens. The guys in the back are usually arguing about some mechanical detail or the other. It is just how we work here. We do not really do the whole corporate dress code thing, just comfortable clothes because the work can get a bit greasy sometimes. Millenium Engines is just a group of us trying to keep up with the schedules and making sure the contractors have what they need for their machines. It is a lot of coordination and sometimes things get a bit chaotic.
