The shop at T-119 in the General Block of M.I.D.C. Bhosari is where we spend all our daylight hours. It’s a busy part of town and the noise of other units is always there in the background. We have been here for a while now, just doing the work that comes our way. The floor is concrete and usually has some oil spots near the machines, no matter how much we try to keep it clean. It gets pretty hot in the afternoons, so we keep the big doors open to catch whatever breeze comes through the block. Most of the time, you’ll find us hunched over the lathes or checking some dimensions on a piece of metal. We don’t have a fancy reception area or anything like that. Just a desk with a lot of papers and some old calendars on the wall. People come in from the nearby factories to ask if we can handle a specific job, and we usually just look at the drawings and see what we can do. It’s not a complicated setup. We have our tools and our routine. Sometimes the power goes out in the industrial area, and then everything goes quiet for a bit, which is a nice change. Usually, it's just the sound of metal cutting metal and the radio playing somewhere in the back. That’s pretty much how things go here every day from Monday to Saturday. We know the tea stall guy around the corner by name because we head there twice a day. It is just a regular engineering shop doing what needs to get done.
