Mehul Gruhodyog

Our small setup, Mehul Gruhodyog, is located at Sinhagad Road 17. We’ve been making food items and household goods here for a while. It’s a home-style business, really. We started in a kitchen and eventually moved into this dedicated space. Most of the day, you can smell spices or whatever is being cooked up. We have a few local women who come in to help with the packing and prep work. It’s not an automated factory. A lot of what we do is by hand, like sorting the grains or packing the packets. Because of that, things aren't always perfectly uniform, but it tastes like home. Sinhagad Road is always busy, so getting our supplies in can be a bit of a headache with the traffic. We sell to some of the local shops nearby, and people also just walk in to buy directly from us. The workspace is simple—lots of stainless steel counters and big containers. We don't have a marketing team or anything like that. We just make the snacks and products the way we were taught. Sometimes we try out a new recipe and give samples to whoever is around to see if it’s any good. It’s a modest living, but we take pride in the fact that people keep coming back for more. We just focus on the daily grind and keeping the quality consistent for everyone who buys from us.
