Mehar Shantinikethan School

Mehar Shantinikethan School is at Survey No 46, down in Lane No 2 of Kondhwa Khurd. You have to turn off the busier streets to find us. It is a fairly quiet spot once you get into the lane. The building is simple and doesn't have any bright signs or fancy architecture. We just have the basic classrooms that a school needs. The students mostly come from the houses nearby, so you see them walking to school in their uniforms every morning. We don't have a large team of workers, so everyone helps out with whatever needs doing. One of us might be teaching a class and then helping to move desks the next hour. There is a small area in the front where we hold the morning assembly. When the weather gets hot, we just open all the windows to let the air in. You can hear the teachers and the students from the street when the lessons are going on. We have been in this part of Kondhwa Khurd for a good while and everyone knows where we are. There are no big corporate missions here, just the daily work of following the lessons and making sure the students are learning. It is a modest school where we just get on with things without making a big fuss about it.
