Mbm Middle School

Running Mbm Middle School out of Row House No 5 & 6 in Atur Park keeps us pretty busy every day. Koregaon Park is a nice area, but Naylor Road can get quite crowded when parents are dropping off their children. The school day starts with the sound of many feet running through the halls. We have been here for a bit, and the building has its own quirks that we deal with, like the occasional plumbing issue or a door that sticks in the summer. Teachers here spend their time planning lessons and trying to keep the middle schoolers focused on their books instead of just chatting. It is a small setup compared to some of those huge institutions, which means we know most of the kids by their first names. We spend a lot of time in the staff room drinking tea and talking about how the latest exams went. Sometimes we have to move some desks around to make room for a small activity or a meeting. It is just a regular school where we just work to get through the syllabus. There is always a stack of papers to grade or some paperwork for the local education office. We don't have a massive playground, but the kids find ways to stay active during the breaks. It feels more like a community than a big business and we like it that way. We spend the evenings making sure the rooms are locked up properly.
