You can find Mayur Handicrafts & Gift Items right at Mirza Galib Chowk on Bhor Bajirao Road. Our shop is at 1170/C. It’s a place filled with all sorts of handmade things. We have brass items, wooden carvings, and different types of traditional gifts that you don't really find in the big chain stores. The shop has a specific smell to it, a mix of wood and old metal, which I quite like. Bajirao Road is always busy, so there is a lot of foot traffic coming past the door. We put some of our bigger pieces out front to catch the eye. It is a bit of a squeeze inside because we have so many items stacked up on the shelves and even some on the floor. People come here when they want something that looks like it was actually made by a person, not a machine. We get a lot of locals and occasionally someone visiting the area who wants a souvenir. The lighting inside isn't the best, but it makes the place feel cozy. We have been here for years, and the neighborhood has changed a lot, but we just keep doing what we do. It’s a family-run kind of vibe. We don't have a website or anything like that; we just open the doors every morning and talk to whoever walks in. If you like looking through unique things, we are right there at the chowk.
