Our workshop is located in the M.L.A. Popatrao Gawade Industrial Estate in Moshi. We are at Gate No. 444/1/2 on Khadi Machine Road. It is a large area and sometimes people get lost trying to find our specific gate. The sound of metal being cut and welded is the constant soundtrack to our days. It’s not a quiet place at all. The floor is concrete and usually has some metal shavings or oil spots on it, no matter how much we sweep. We have a small office area partitioned off from the main floor where we handle the billing and the drawings, but mostly we are out where the work is happening. The heat from the welding torches makes the summers pretty intense, but we have some big fans that help a little. We don't have a fancy showroom. If you want to see what we do, you just look at what’s on the worktables at that moment. We’ve been here for a long time and have seen other shops come and go. We just keep our heads down and focus on the fabrication tasks at hand. Most of our clothes have a few burn holes or stains from the shop, which is just part of the job. It’s a plain, hardworking life here on Khadi Machine Road and we wouldn't have it any other way.
