Mata Gujri Girls' Public School

Our school, Mata Gujri Girls' Public School, is actually located inside Shop No 11 of the Classic Complex. It’s on Manjari Road in the Hadapsar area of Pune. It’s a bit of a different setup since we are part of a commercial complex, but we make it work. Every morning, you see the girls in their uniforms arriving at the complex, weaving through the people going to the other shops. The space is used very carefully because we don’t have much room to waste. We have chairs and desks crammed into the rooms, and the whiteboards are always covered in notes. It gets quite noisy because the road outside is a major one for Hadapsar, 411028. You can hear the buses and trucks rumbling past all morning. We have a small area where the teachers sit to grade papers and have their lunch. It’s often a bit chaotic with books everywhere and people coming in to pay fees or ask questions. We don’t have a big yard, so the kids mostly stay inside or near the entrance during their breaks. It’s a very local feel here; everyone knows each other’s names. We spend our days managing the lessons and making sure everything stays on track despite the busy surroundings. When the school day ends, we tidy up the small classrooms and get ready for the next morning. It’s a simple, hardworking atmosphere for everyone involved.
