Mata Beti Bai High School, Badagoan (Dhasan

We’ve been here at Mata Beti Bai High School, Badagoan (Dhasan) for a while now. The school is right on the first floor of a building along B T Kawade Road. If you know Ghorpadi Gaon in Pune, you know how busy it gets around here. Our address is 411001. Most days start early before the sun gets too hot. The stairs up to the first floor have seen a lot of feet over the years. We deal with the usual stuff like books, desks, and keeping things organized. It is not a fancy setup, just a regular place where people come to learn things. Sometimes the traffic outside gets noisy, especially when the buses go by on B T Kawade Road. We just keep the windows shut or talk louder. We have been part of the Ghorpadi Gaon landscape for some time. There is always someone coming in or going out. The hallways are narrow but they do the job. We don’t have a massive gate or anything, just the entrance there on the road. It feels like a small community here. Everyone knows the shopkeepers downstairs. People ask for directions to the first floor often. We just tell them to head up. Life here follows the school bells and the rhythm of the city. We try to keep the place tidy but it’s a working school so there’s always a bit of dust. It is just us doing our daily work.
