Marigold International School

We are tucked away in Lane No. 3 of Namdev Nagar, over in Vadgaon Sheri. The area has changed a lot since we first started, with more buildings popping up everywhere. Our address is Sr. No. 41/1, and it’s a place that stays busy from sunrise to sunset. The school day starts with the typical rush of parents on bikes and the big yellow buses trying to navigate the narrow lanes. We have a lot of students from the surrounding apartment blocks. Inside, it’s mostly just the sound of teachers talking and kids shuffling their papers. We have to stay on top of the cleaning because the dust from the road always finds its way in. It’s a practical building, designed to hold as many kids as we can comfortably teach. We don't go in for much decoration; we mostly just have charts and student work on the walls. The staff takes their tea breaks together when there’s a quiet moment. Sometimes we have issues with the water supply or the internet goes down, and we just have to deal with it. Life here is about the daily grind of lessons and exams. We see the kids grow up year by year, which is the one thing that stays the same while the neighborhood keeps growing. We’re just a regular part of the Vadgaon Sheri landscape, doing what we do every day without much fuss.
