Marian Co Education School

We are located over in Bhosari Gaonthan, specifically on Dighi Road. It's a lively part of Pune, and things move fast around here. The school sits on Survey No 212/24/2, which sounds complicated on paper but most locals know exactly where we are. We have boys and girls coming in from all the nearby streets. Every morning is the same routine with the gates opening and the sound of cycles and scooters pulling up. The building has seen many batches of students come and go over the years. We spend a lot of time on maintenance because old buildings always need something fixed, whether it’s a leaky tap or a squeaky door. The staff room is usually full of notebooks that need grading. We don't have a lot of bells and whistles, just classrooms with desks and blackboards. During the breaks, the noise from the playground is quite something. It’s a co-ed environment, so you get a mix of everyone. We deal with the heat in the summers and the mud in the monsoons just like everyone else in Bhosari. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we just have to open the windows wider. We aren't trying to be anything other than a local school for the families around here. Most of us have worked here for years and we know the rhythms of the neighborhood quite well. It’s just work, but it’s important work for us.
