Margadarsi Puplic School

We are over at South Main Road in Koregaon Park. If you know the area, it’s one of the greener parts of Pune with lots of old trees and quiet lanes. Our school, Margadarsi Puplic School, is actually a row house. We are at Row House No 3 in the Gold Field Enclave. It’s not a huge building, but we’ve managed to fit everything we need into the space. The row house setup means we have a few levels, so there is a lot of going up and down the stairs for the staff. We have classrooms set up in what used to be the bedrooms and the main hall. It gives the school a very close-knit feel. We have students from all over the local area. The desks are a bit older, and the walls have some marks on them, but it’s a place where real learning happens every day. We don't have a big cafeteria or anything, so the kids just eat their lunch in the classrooms or in the small outdoor porch area. Gold Field Enclave is a nice spot because it’s tucked away from the main noise of the traffic on South Main Road. It’s a bit of a squeeze when we have everyone in for an assembly, but we make it work somehow. We just focus on the basic education and making sure the kids are doing their homework and following the lessons.
