We’ve been here at Chougule Mala for a while now. Most days start pretty early because the buses have to get through the Shivarkar Road traffic. It's a busy spot in Wanowrie, so there is always noise outside the gates. We have a good number of kids here. They come in every morning with their bags, and honestly, some days are louder than others. The building is just a regular school building, nothing fancy, but it does the job. We spend a lot of time just keeping things organized. Sometimes the bell rings late, or a teacher is running behind, but that is just how it goes in a place like this. Parents stop by the office to talk about fees or uniforms. We try to keep the playground area clean, though the kids make sure it doesn’t stay that way for long. Being in Pune, the weather gets quite hot in the afternoon, so we have to make sure the fans are always working. There is a lot of paperwork to handle every single day. We are just a group of people trying to make sure the local kids have a place to sit and learn their lessons. It’s not always quiet, and sometimes it gets a bit chaotic, but we are used to it. The staff knows most of the families by name since we are right here in the neighborhood. We just keep the gates open and get through the syllabus.
