Manohar Kalagouda Patil High School

Being located in Viman Pride means we’re right in the middle of everything in Viman Nagar. Manohar Kalagouda Patil High School is up on the fourth floor, unit 404, so we see the planes taking off and landing pretty often from the windows. It’s a bit of a climb if the lift is acting up, which happens sometimes. The hallways are usually filled with the sound of students rushing to get to their desks before the first bell rings. We’ve got kids from all over the neighborhood. The rooms aren’t huge, so things can get a bit loud during the breaks. We spend a lot of time just managing the daily stuff, like making sure the chalkboards are wiped down and the benches are in straight lines. Teachers are always carrying stacks of notebooks back and forth. It’s a normal high school life, really. During the monsoon, the windows sometimes leak a little bit, so we have to move some desks around to keep the books dry. The parents come in for meetings and we sit in the small office area to talk. It’s a bit of a squeeze when everyone shows up at once. We don’t have a big playground out front, so the kids have to be careful when they’re headed out to the Pune streets after school is over. It’s just us doing our jobs every day. We’ve been here at this address for several years now.
