Manochaitanya School

Our school is out on Bakori Road in Wagholi. If you know the area, you know it’s changed a lot lately with all the new construction around here. We’ve been sitting on this stretch for a while, watching the traffic grow. The school building is straightforward, nothing too elaborate. We have students coming in from all parts of Wagholi and even some from further down the road. The morning sun hits the front of the building quite early, and that’s when the first buses start arriving. It gets pretty dusty sometimes because of the roadwork nearby, but we manage to keep the classrooms decent enough. We focus on the daily subjects and try to keep the kids busy with their books. There’s a small staff room where we sit and have our lunch between classes. It’s not a very big school, so everyone knows everyone else’s name. We have some trees near the entrance that give a bit of shade in the afternoons. The kids like to hang out there while waiting for their rides home. We don’t really do big events often, just the regular school days one after the other. It’s a practical place for local families who need a school close to their homes. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just open the windows wider. We are just doing our part here in this corner of Pune. It is a busy life but we are used to the rhythm of it now.
