Mandakini Public School Mau

Mandakini Public School Mau is out at Gat No 289 in Khed Shivapur. It’s a bit away from the main city of Pune, which gives us a lot more breathing room and fresh air. The school is surrounded by more open land than you’d find in the city center. We’ve got a fairly simple building here. It’s not very old, but it’s definitely seen a lot of use since we opened. The road leading up to the school can be a bit bumpy, especially after the rains, but the school buses and the local vans make the trip every day without much trouble. The students come from the local villages and the growing residential pockets in Khed Shivapur. During the mornings, the place is full of energy as everyone arrives. We have a good-sized area for the kids to run around in, which is one of the perks of being further out. The classrooms are basic, with the usual wooden desks and large windows to let the breeze in. We don't have fancy tech in every room, but we have what we need to get the teaching done. The teachers live nearby, so they know the families and the local issues well. It’s a quiet life out here for the most part, except when the kids are on their break. We just focus on keeping the school running smoothly and making sure the children are learning something useful every day. It is a plain, hardworking environment where we just get on with the job of education.
