Manali Engineering Works

If you head down to Hadapsar Laxmi Colony, you’ll find us at number 282. We are right opposite the fish farm, which is a pretty distinct landmark for anyone trying to find the shop for the first time. Manali Engineering Works is a place where we get our hands dirty every day. There’s a lot of heavy machinery in the shop, so the floor is made of thick concrete to handle the weight without cracking. We do a lot of cutting, grinding, and assembly work here. The smell of hot metal and grease is always in the air, which you just get used to after a while. Across the road, you can sometimes see the activity at the fish farm, which is a bit of a change from the industrial stuff we do inside these walls. Our team is small, just a few local guys who know how to handle tools and machines. We don't have a fancy waiting area or any air conditioning. If someone comes by, they usually just stand by the door until one of us notices them over the noise of the grinding machines. It’s a practical environment where the focus is strictly on the metalwork. We have piles of raw materials out back and a lot of finished pieces waiting to be picked up by the owners. It’s the kind of place where you have to watch your step so you don’t trip over a cable or a tool lying around.
