Manair High School

Manair High School is located in the Bhosari-Pimpri Chinchwad area, which is a busy industrial part of Pune. Our address is simply in that neighborhood, and everyone around here knows where we are. The school has been part of this community for quite a while. Most of the parents work in the nearby factories or run small shops in the market. Every morning, the streets around the school are full of students in their uniforms, some walking and some on bicycles. The building itself is a straightforward structure, nothing too fancy to look at from the outside. Inside, it’s full of the usual school sounds—chalk scratching on boards, teachers explaining math problems, and kids laughing during the recess. We have a small area for assembly where we gather every morning before the classes start. It gets quite hot in the summer, but we have enough fans to keep things moving. The rainy season brings its own set of problems with damp walls, but we just deal with it as it comes. We aren't a big corporate institution with a lot of funding. We are just a local high school trying to do a good job for the kids in Bhosari. The staff is local too, so there’s a real sense of connection with the families. We just take things one day at a time and try to keep the students focused on their books so they can have a decent future. It is a noisy, busy place, but it is home to us.
