Mamathi Vidyanikethan High School

We've been here on Kalptaru Road in Pimple Gurav for quite some time now. The school is right at Survey No 80/3. It’s a busy area but once you step inside the gate, things settle down a bit. Most of the kids come from the nearby housing societies and they walk or cycle here every morning. You can hear the morning prayers from the street if you happen to be passing by around eight o’clock. Our building isn't anything fancy, just a regular high school building with classrooms that get plenty of sunlight in the afternoons. The staff room is always a bit messy with notebooks and tea cups, which is just how it goes when you’re busy teaching. We have a small playground where the students spend their breaks, and it gets pretty loud when the lunch bell rings. Sometimes the traffic on the main road makes it hard to hear, but we managed. Parents often drop by to check on their children’s progress or just to chat with the teachers. It’s a local place, really. We don’t have big shiny billboards or anything like that. Just Mamathi Vidyanikethan High School doing what we do every day. The monsoon season is a bit tricky with the mud near the entrance, but we put down some mats and keep going. It’s just a normal school life here in Pune 411061. We see the kids grow up from small children into young adults before they leave for college. It’s a lot of work but it feels right.
