Mahrishi Dadhichi Public School

We've been here on the Bharati Vidhyapeeth Campus for a while now. If you know Pune Satara Road, you know how busy it gets in the mornings. Our spot in Dhankawadi is tucked away enough that the traffic doesn't bother the classrooms too much. It's mostly just us and the kids every day. We don't have fancy offices or anything like that, just basic rooms where the teaching happens. Most of the staff live nearby, so we walk or take a quick rickshaw over. It gets pretty dusty out here sometimes, but we keep the place as clean as we can. We started out small and stayed that way, really. Parents from around the neighborhood drop their kids off early before heading to work. We see the same faces every day at the gate. It's a simple setup. We spend our time checking notebooks and making sure everyone has what they need for their classes. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, so we just open the windows and keep going. There isn't much to say other than we show up every morning and do the work. It’s a school, after all. We try to keep things quiet so the students can focus, though the main road is always humming in the background. It's just a normal part of life here in this part of Pune.
