Maheshwari Middle School

Our school is tucked away in Sacred Heart Town over in Wanowrie. If you are driving down Salunke Vihar Road, you might miss us because we are actually located in Shop Number 50. It is a very busy road with a lot of traffic and people always rushing somewhere, so the school feels like a small part of a much bigger machine. Being a middle school in a commercial space has its challenges, but we have gotten used to it over the years. The space inside Maheshwari Middle School is not huge, so we have to be organized with how we move the kids around between lessons. There is a lot of walking back and forth in the shared corridor. The neighbors in the town are mostly families, and they have grown used to hearing the school bell ring throughout the afternoon. We do not have a big playground of our own, so the kids mostly just gather near the shop entrance during their short breaks. It is a very local operation. Most of the staff has been here for years, and we know the shortcuts through the back lanes of Wanowrie to avoid the main road traffic. The air is always full of the smell of food from the nearby cafes and bakeries. We keep the doors open when it is hot, and you can hear the city outside. It is just a simple middle school trying to provide a place for kids.
